      FOOD holds an incredible amount of relevance in video games. From the original and never-beaten Super Mario, with its magical growth mushrooms, to GLaDOS' promise of cake in Portal, food is a powerful and popular source of reference for video games, and can be useful for keeping audiences attracted. Some food references become timeless memes, with simple sentences transforming into new sayings for the gaming generation. It is difficult to find a Youtube video comment that is absent of "The Cake is a lie!" spamming the pages. (Both Portal and Super Mario Brothers were listed in the Top Ten  Video Game Food References in LAWeekly's 2010 blog).
      One of the very first arcade games revolves around the concept of food. The timeless, classic Pacman must consume tiny dots (and ghosts when they turn blue!) to survive. Food and eating are relatable to every generation, and, psychologically, this creates a comfortable, familiar setting that even a first-time gamer can get involved in with ease.
      It is incredible that although video games are becoming more and more complex, as bigger systems and multi-platform consoles are released, and a game itself contains many advanced elements, one thing that attracts us to it the most is still a thing that has been biologically coded into our brains since pre-evolved times. Using our natural instincts to cooperate both with nature and our evolving intellect. Now that's multi-tasking. This gives a point both to nature and to humanity.

~A different green fruit~

Grapes are in bunches. In Spain, they attempt to eat an entire bunch of twelve grapes before the twelfth stroke of the bell on New Years'. One grape per chime.


Grapes are round. In the Philippines, grapes are held in high favor as a good omen to the New Year, as well as any other round object. Roundness brings prosperity.


Grapes are wish-fulfilling.Those of Latin descent believe that consuming grapes on New Years' will grant great wishes and will help satisfy personal resolutions.




Grapes are the fabric of the universe. One point for nature.
